Biography
(*1989) After completing his acting training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, he has been studying directing at the Film Academy Vienna since 2016 and has been enrolled in the master’s program since 2025. His short films have screened at international festivals.

His autofictional short Gschichtl received the Jury Award at Cinema Next Tour Vienna as well as the Shortynale Award for Best Short Film in Klosterneuburg, while his bachelor’s thesis film Closed for the Virus Break (world premiere: Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis) was awarded both the Kodak Analog Film Award and Best Short Fiction Film at the Diagonale 2026.
For the Chamber of Labour of Lower Austria, he co-directed the interactive educational film Schau Nicht Weg (“Don’t Look Away”) with Magdalena Reichinger, addressing issues of workplace bullying.
Photography became an important part of him during the first lockdown of the pandemic, where he developed a particular interest in architecture, landscapes, and people.
As a cinematographer, he primarily works on music videos, and received the Special Award for Best One-Shot Choreography at the Filmz Festival Mainz for the short film Between the Lines (dir. Pollmann), which was also longlisted for the BAFTA 2025.
He is currently developing Pipi Fröstl’s suspense-driven social drama Der Vorfall (The Incident, working title), as well as his first feature film.
